ROBO-PARTNER Innovative Robot Programming Techniques

Recently, the robot programming becomes particular concern covering manual textual or graphical programming. However, these methods still rely on the underlying trained or programmed abilities and are complex for the user to be handled¹.

ROBO-PARTNER project develops user friendly intuitive robot instruction libraries that allow the fast and effortless alterations of the root programs during the assembly. These libraries include common robot programming instructions combined with intelligent algorithms so to achieve the programming of the desired task. Also, improvements on interactive Programing by Demonstration techniques are also implemented involving:

audio commands to dictate commands to the robot,
visual programming techniques such as vision based posture / motion recognition systems and
direct robot arm manipulation by the user through force/tactile sensing.
